Byron Habaneros 20th
Byron Habaneros 20th
Originally a Cuban brand founded in the mid-19th century, Lord Byron Cigars were created by two cousins who ran a humble cigar factory near Havana. The cigars quickly gained acclaim for their exceptional quality and craftsmanship, earning a loyal following that spanned generations.
However, after years of success, the family faced financial hardships, and Ricardo Alfonzo, the grandson of one of the founders, was ultimately forced to sell the brand. Nearly ninety years later, his great-grandson, Nelson Alfonso, revived the storied label through his Selected Tobacco Company, honoring the family’s tradition while elevating the brand to new heights of luxury.
Today, the Byron 20th Century stands as a testament to that legacy. Released in limited quantities, each cigar rests in aging rooms for a full year before reaching aficionados. It features a dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a disclosed binder, and a filler blend of Peruvian, Dominican, and undisclosed tobaccos, creating a complex and refined smoking experience that captures both heritage and innovation.
